Your Driving School

It is somewhat accepted that digital natives, those who grew up with 21st century technology, are great at multitasking. However, the research indicates that multitasking when applied to driving increases the risk of a collision and indeed can be deadly. If your driving school doesn’t include discussion about these dangers, walk don’t run to another school. The concept of how well people can multitask has received much press lately and teens actually believe they can effectively manage multiple, concurrent tasks in parallel. A new topic today is how driver’s ed programs incorporate issues related to focus and the dangers of assuming minimal levels of risk surrounding multitasking. First off, when people mention multitasking, most don’t even really understand the true meaning of the term. Along with multiprocessing, these terms come directly from the computer world and we have applied them to humans. Most driver training was developed before digital natives were born and has not kept up with the times. The human brain, according to research by people such as John Medina (see his book “Brain Rules”), is a uniprocessor and hence can only do one cognitive task at a time. In other words, humans can not truly perform multiple complex tasks in parallel regardless of how much we believe this is possible.

5 Signs of a Failing Honda CV Joint

Honda vehicles are known for their reliability, quality parts and excellent gas mileage. Their ATV’s are no different. These are powerful machines that are known to withstand rough terrain, weather and driving. However, just like any vehicle they are prone to breakdown especially if not carefully maintained and looked after.

The Honda CV Joint

The Constant Velocity joint or the CV joint is a very important part of the ATV as it is essential in providing proper control and maneuverability. The axle assembly of a Honda model ATV is used to shift power from the transmission to the wheels. This is the place where the CV joint is located. It is part of a drive shaft that attaches to the ATV’s transmission at one end and the wheel at the other. They are designed to be able to bend in any direction while continuing to turn the drive wheels at a constant velocity.

Aggressive use of a Honda CV joint can wear it down and therefore it must either be repaired or replaced. However before it completely fails, there are signs that it is breaking down. One doesn’t have to be an expert mechanic to notice these indications. Here we will go over some of these symptoms. This will help aid drivers in discovering a faulty CV Joint beforehand and avoid costly repairs.

A Powerful But Sleek Amp

Amps are key to powering your subwoofers or speakers, so that they produce a clear sound that is free from distortion. However, if your amp does not hold a sufficient amount of power, it may mean your car audio system suffers. The Kicker ZX series is one of the most powerful systems out there and aims to produce a high quality sound that is completely clear and coherent.

The Kicker ZX series is well known series that provides intense and amplified sounds that are clear. Available in this series are two channel amps, four channel, five channel hybrids and a single channel subwoofer amp.

If you’re a fan of your bass, the Kicker ZX mono-channel subwoofer amp is definitely worth a think about. This model is within the class D barrier, meaning it’s highly energy efficient, thus it will generate more power to your subs rather than losing it via heat loss. Not to mention the fact that these amps can drive 2,500 plus watts all into your subwoofers, making them very powerful indeed. Many car audio experts also decree that the Kicker ZX is significantly more powerful than the box even says!

Fitting BMW Motorcycle

Since the launch of Dave Flood’s adjustable handlebar risers last month there have been a number of enquiries on how to fit them and was it hard and did you have to extend cables and wires and things.

Keep in mind the Dave Flood risers only fit a limited number of BMW Motorcycles. These are the K series 1200 and 1300 R and S models and the R1200S model.

Why only the K series

The reason for this is that these models have a yoke type head into which the left and right hand bars are clamped. In other words it is not a single bar right across but one straight bar for the left and one for the right each fitted into a central head. It is this central head and the position of the faring that makes it hard to design risers that can go more than a couple of inches. Mind you the factory length of the cables and brake line also restrict just how much rise you can get.

Why it Pays to Compare Motorhome Costs

Getting a motor home is something many people wish to do. Their reasons may vary when it comes down to deciding whether to rent or buy one. Individuals who buy homes are probably going to travel a lot and need to use them frequently. However, if you decide that your traveling is spur of the moment it may make a lot more sense to rent a motor home because you don’t want to make such a huge investment if traveling is going to be a rare occurrence that doesn’t happen too frequently.

Compare the Services Offered
The different motor homes that are available may be different sizes, have different amenities, or the company that is renting them out may decide to offer extra services that their competitors cannot stand up against. These services are usually the selling point for why one person chooses a company over a different one.

One company in Australia that offers car rentals is the Backpacker Car Hire Company. They don’t have vans so those who need them will have to search elsewhere but the cars range in size from the smaller compact ones to the midsized ones. A compact car may be the Toyota Corolla or a similar car that offers the size but the same features. An intermediate car example might be the Hyandai Elantra. Each car will drive differently and have different storage capacities.
